Foreword

Article Outline

Invasive ductal carcinoma of the breast represents a major public health problem and each year there are numerous scientific and lay articles focused on its diagnosis and treatment. There are numerous less common tumors of the breast, however, which because of their relative rarity, present perplexing management problems for clinicians. In this issue of Current Problems in Surgery Drs. Cox, Korourian, and Klimberg from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences have written an outstanding article, “Unusual Tumors of the Breast,” which reviews the large number of relatively rare breast neoplasms. It is difficult to find this information in a single source, which enhances the value of this well-written and well-illustrated monograph.
